I think I'm seeing it, there's some distortion in joint areas.

Flexible joints are prone to distortion just because Karma sucks. Example: look what happens to ragdolls when they get stuck in surfaces and jiggle around. (in any game)

That's possible but those look odd. as if vertices used bigger bone scale but bones were shorter.  Ie on 90 degrees bend of arm the bend looks a bit T shaped instead of  L shaped.

Exactly. That is the exact explanation, and that needs to be fixed,(a program called milkshape for ut2003, can easily adjust bones size for every skeleton type) Dario, just make bot height propper and you will see the huge anommaly, trust me:)
