I have tried to install gunreal before but everytime it gets to 73% or so my laptop crashes. a few weeks later i had to reformat my laptop(not gunreal related) and tried installing again,this time it works. When the new patch came out (r1041) it happened again.now i don't want to reformat again,does any1 know why this happens. Is there any manual patch for this?


I have windows xp.

I have no idea why it would cause a crash... Do you have XP's Service Pack 2 installed, and all updates?

You can try the Zip version, which is update-notified now... (it doesn't download the update for you... it just tells you ingame that one is available, and links you to the site).

ok thanx for the updated zip BUT i got a 404 error  and yes i do have sp2 and all its updates.

thx but i think i need 1042 o.o.... unless the file has 1042 in it already .  ill tell u wat happens after a few minutes

While the latest version is 1042, I gave you 1041 for three reasons:

1: It's the only recent Zip with a full installer at the moment.

2: 1042 (the latest, which happens to only have a "patch" version, not installer) is essentially the same thing, created simply to force the auto-updater to roll out a working update.

3: The ingame menu will give you a link to 1042 (although now that I think about it, it will only take you to the downloads page, which links you to 1041 at the moment, so nevermind that reason).

3, version 2: You should accept the way things are, and be grateful we don't make the main menu screen say "hacate is a nubtard".  Not to imply that you are one, but I needed a better excuse for #3.
