I Noticed that in certian areas where there is blocking volume? the spammer has gotten caught somehow and you get stuck. The only way out is basically to use the 1st weapon the blow yourself back out it is the only way it seems.

Not sure what you mean. You get stuck in blocking volumes while holding the spammer?

Do you get stuck when teleporting, perhaps?

No, I was ready to pull a jump & frag on a bot and when I landed I got stuck next to him and couldn't move. I tried every thing. Weapon 1 was the one that got me out it though. it was very odd. I'll see if I *can* replicate and demo reel it for you later today.

Blocking volumes...? sounds like a guy that sits in front of the volume control, and lops off your hands when you try to turn down the metal... OR the amount of bricks that fall on you from the sky.

rofl, you've got me all confuzzled! Cheesy

- Blocking volumes are zones put in maps that stop you from entering. Think of it as an invisible wall. If you want to make an invisible wall that stops someone from jumping off the edge of a map, you put a blocking volume.

I'm assuming now that it's possible to get stuck in some of them.

Leonardo, can you post a screenshot of the spot where you got stuck, so we can go check it, and see if it's a map issue or a Gunreal issue?

sorry to revive an old topic but it sounds like what you describe as a blocking volume is what i think may be a playerclip brush.  if the clip brush/ blocking volume is really thin then you could probably glitch trough it and then get stuck on the other side.  But then you all probably worked that out straigntaway and i look silly.

btw i have only really ever made maps and such using BSP Quake map editor so please allow for my stupidity if i start saying weird things and for if i am confused by any stuff you say

A blocking volume is essentially UT's version of a playerclip brush. The issue isn't that the volumes are too thin, but rather that they detonate mines on touch.
