Hello again, testing the game came along whit some ideas, well first of all, and i really think you already know this Tongue, the prices are are way too unbalanced or looking it from other point of view, some weapons do way too much damage, i.e. rocket launchers, or the big one, one shot one kill , cant stand it with.. i dont know, lets say the shotgun, anyway, damage and/or prices might need balance.

Now another little idea, what about some hotkeys for the weapon shop, i was playing some mins ago and i had to stand at the shop to get some ammo or change weapons, i got shot trough the shield (though that wasnt supposed to happend) so the point is that i wasnt fast enough whit the mouse to buy the stuff, so i came whit the idea of hotkeys for buying guns, reloading ammo, granades, etc.

Well thats it for now, cya latter!

Thanks for the feedback, Izzes. Smiley

I agree that the Heavy Rocket Launcher is over-powered vs. infantry (see this post - it's in for a revamp), but do you also mean to say that regular Rocket Launcher does too much damage? (not sure)

The way I test weapon damage balance is by seeing who's more likely to win a fight when using certain weapons. Example: When I use the Rocket Launcher to fight a bot who has the Minigun, from close range, I should feel like I *can* win if I play my cards right (because the RL is supposed to be more powerful), but also, if I make any mistakes, or take even a second too long to do something, the bot should get me. It should never feel like you're guaranteed to always win just because of the gun you're using... unless the bots are below your difficulty level, or if you're sniping a group of campers from 10 miles away, and they have no chance of reaching you.

So far, I've been happy with the RL's performance... I feel like the Sniper can kill slightly better (as long as I hang back), followed by the Destroyer, and then HRL (which is overpowered).

Yeah, this has been an odd challenge... It's annoying to get blown out of the shopping shield, and have none of the things you did apply.

I'm thinking about just having your shopping order not get canceled when the shield is destroyed, so that whatever you "did" will still go through (example: if you sold your guns, and bought a G-60, but then someone blew you out of the shield before you could click "Done", you'd still end up with a G-60, and your weapons would remain sold)...

The Shopping Screen would still have to auto-close for you, so that you can defend yourself (it'd be sooo annoying to have to scramble to hit the "Done" button while someone is standing there, shooting you without the shield), but you'd still end up with whatever load-out you were able to select while shopping.

It's only a question of if there are any side-effects to allowing your enemies to finalize your shopping by destroying the shield, instead of "canceling" what you're doing.

You could implement a little check-box in the shop menu that allows you to either open the shop every time you respawn or to keep it closed and auto-buy what you have selected, i had this problem when buying just when i respawn that i click wile in spectating waiting for the respawn, the shop menu apears and i close it not on purpose so i have to run to the shop.
Maybe that auto buy at spawn option, then if i want to change i just uncheck the option in a shop or with a special button for that.

Hi, another little thing , the initial amount of ammo for each weapon may need balance too, in example i´m really low on money so i decide to buy the acid pistol, but all i got is enough to get the gun, and it stats whit 10 ammo, i cant do much whit it, should get a decent ammount of ammo for each weapon, more in the weak ones, less in the strong ones, the rest are quite balanced anyway, i just came whit the pistol and machine gun, first two.

About the heavy rocket launcher i came whit this idea, what if you take it out from the shop menu in close combat maps, and you add it as a special weapon to pick up just like redeemer was (or other super weapons) i found up that having non-special weapons in the maps to pick up was a little disappointing, i mean, you get all the way to the secret spots and you only find a shop, that has it good side , i can buy in peace and wont get shot as easily as other shops, dunno, gotta think in the idea.

Ok ok last one Tongue

I am a dash move user and i found out that i cant dash forward anymore, instead of that it sprints, thats not bad, but theres a button for sprint, so i thought that you should keep forward dash move, don't know if this is a bug or its made on purpose.

One more Tongue what about adding little stamina heal ups around here and there , or make the heal ups also heal some stamina. It runs out way too fast, and with the new sprint move is like i´m running all the time.

Regarding the initial ammo count, yeah, some of the guns are in for an adjustment, like the Acid Pistol and Plasma Gun, to name a few... You shouldn't have to feel like you MUST always buy ammo.

The HRL is going to behave a bit differently in the final release, so it might not have much place left in anything BUT vehicular game-modes (it will probably end up geared even more for killing just vehicles), but yeah, we are going to do something with the special weapon pickup spots (like the Ion Painter) that you find in some maps. I'm still thinking about what to do exactly... I need to play team-games more, and see if there any needed special abilities or pickups that would be good to have.

We might be removing the dodging soon, but haven't decided yet. I'm also toying with the idea of speeding up walking a bit, because all too often I lose stamina in the middle of a fight, try to move out of a rocket's path, and can't... but we'll see.
